This soundwalk was organized in the following way: one of the participants is picking up environmental sounds through a pair of OKM Soundman in-ear binaural microphones, while the other participant is wearing a pair of headphones, monitoring the sound environment picked up by the former. In a sense, one participant can direct, modify, and affect the acoustic orientation and perception of the other one. Halfway through the exercise, they swap roles.

The place - Madrid's Jardín Botánico - was chosen because it is fairly to the general traffic noise of the city, while still offering the occasional quiet spot.

The soundwalk was designed as an exercise in listening, specifically for the 1st World Listening Day, 2010-07-18.
